Side-effects:

This diet is not recommended for people who follow a specific treatment, since grapefruit may interact with certain medications. A study by Dr David Bailey has shown that the consumption of this fruit during treatment can cause serious problems. This fruit contains active compounds called furanocoumarins which inhibit the functioning of an enzyme called CYP3A4 contributing to drug metabolism in the body. Therefore, if you follow a specific treatment, and you consume grapefruit, drugs may not have the expected effect.

Note: This diet is to be followed only for 7 days, no more. It has to be redone 3 times a year, ensuring a break of three months and is not recommended for people who have health problems.
